History

The firm began in 2001, when a group of investment banking professionals and former CEOs created a boutique investment bank in affiliation with American Express. Originally named Corporate Solutions Group (CSG), the firm was founded to provide general investment banking services for middle-market clients of American Express. By 2003, the management team divested the firm from American Express and began focusing on its primary niche: structuring and closing ESOP transactions. In 2008, the firm opened an office in San Francisco in response to business opportunities on the West Coast. In 2010, the firm renamed itself CSG Partners.

Work

Since 2002, CSG Partners has structured and closed over 80 ESOP buyouts for companies with a total value exceeding $5 Billion. For capital advisory engagements, the firm has raised or restructured over $2 Billion. The firm has represented clients with values ranging from $10 million to $500 million across the country.
